Eco-friendly

Compared with wood pulp paper, sugarcane paper has the advantages of being more environmentally friendly and pollution-free. Sugarcane bagasse is usually burned after processing sugarcane into sucrose, which causes additional pollution to the environment. Instead of burning sugarcane bagasse, we can turn it into paper!

Renewable

Sugarcane is a high-quality renewable papermaking resource. The height of sugarcane can exceed 3 meters per year, and it usually takes 10 to 12 months for sugarcane to mature, while trees take at least 10 years.

Biodegradable

Biodegradability refers to the ability of a product to self decompose over time. Sugarcane fiber can biodegrade within 30 to 90 days.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL BENFITS OF SUGARCANE PAPER

Trees have a growth cycle of about 5-10 years, are non-renewable and need to be reforested after felling; the cycle is too long to be applicable to the protection of the environment.

The utilization of agricultural waste - bagasse is gradually changing our dependence on forest resources. By replacing traditional tree fibers with yields from agricultural waste, there will no longer be a need to cut down trees in large quantities; instead, forests can continue to absorb carbon dioxide and convert it into oxygen, thus promoting biodiversity and ecological balance.

Sugarcane, as a fast-growing crop, is able to absorb carbon dioxide effectively. Through photosynthesis, sugarcane converts carbon dioxide into biomass during growth and stores it in the plant. Studies have shown that sugarcane can absorb a large amount of carbon dioxide per hectare per year, far exceeding the carbon dioxide released during its growth and harvesting.
